CHA Upcoming Events

Here are the detailed upcoming league dates to ensure everyone knows what events are taking place and when they are taking place. Below are the events and the dates

Learn to Play (Session 2), 4 weeks (Cost $65 Includes Jersey and Socks)

Saturday – October 7th                       9:00am – 10:00am

Saturday - October 14th                      9:00am – 10:00am

Saturday - October 21st                      9:00am – 10:00am

Saturday - October 28th                      9:00am – 10:00am

House/Rec League Hockey Has Started - It's not too late to register!
$400 - 8U House 
$425 - 10U/12U House 
$250 - 14U/18U House.
The House/Rec hockey league starts the week of 2-8 October and will go through the first week of March. House league will have a minimum of 35 skating sessions, generally 23 practices and 12 games. There is no hockey scheduled during the week of Thanksgiving and the two weeks of Christmas. The general schedule is:

Mite 8U: Mondays and Saturdays

Majors U10, U12: Mondays, Some Wednesdays, and Saturdays

U14 - 18U: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

*Evaluations going on.  Once teams are formed, parents will be notified as to which team your child is on.

High School Hockey

The Columbus High School Hockey team is made up of U14 – U18 Players. The High School Teams plays the majority of its games on Sundays in Atlanta. It is a 16 game regular season play in the Georgia Student Hockey League (GSHL).

The High School team will practice on Tuesdays to include those 14U players that pay additional for High School Practices.

The 14U – 18U house league will skate on Wednesdays.

14U/High School shared practices are on Thursdays.

Adult B & C League Hockey

Adult Pick up hockey will start on 9 August for C league and 10 August for B league. Pick up hockey will be one hour a week for both leagues for $15 and will last for 10 Weeks.

Adult season Evaluations We will have an adult B and C league this season. The schedule is posted at columbushockey.org. There is one week of evaluations to select teams. The evaluations will consist of two 60 minutes sessions for C league and two 60 minutes sessions for B league. The evaluations will take place the week of 17 – 20 October.

Adult regular season. The regular season games will start the week of 16 – 22 October. This year will be a 16 Week Schedule for each team followed by playoffs. The last week of games are February 26th – March 3rd, and the playoffs will start on March 5th. Players choosing to play in both the B and C leagues will receive a $100 discount in each league. Playing in both leagues will cost $650, you must be approved by Joe McCrea prior to registering for both leagues.
